Big weekend for Moira

Five churches have joined forces to stage Moira's Big weekend.

It’s a first for the village and the churches involved are St John’s Church of Ireland, Moira Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist and Pentecostal.

The weekend kicks off on Friday, June 10, with a special event for primary schools running from 10am to 12.30pm. A large marquee will be set up and children from the village’s two primary schools have been invited to what’s being billed as a fun-filled morning. On the Friday night from 7.30-11pm an acoustic cafe takes over the marquee. Acts include Lurgan’s Andi Oakes, James Adamson and Steve Parson. Bishop Ken Clarke will give the epilogue.
