Thieves have struck again at Maghera's park and ride facility on the outskirts of the town.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a bike was stolen from the rear of a van parked at the facility earlier in the week.

Constable Glover said : “It was reported that between the hours of 10.20am and 3.10pm on Wednesday 29th March, an orange and black Orbea Loki bike was stolen from the rear of a Citroen van in parked in the Tobermore Park and Ride, Maghera.

"We are appealing to anyone that may have any information or to anyone that may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or to anyone that may have been offered similar items for sale in suspicious circumstances to contact Magherafelt Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 690 of the 29/03/17.

Or, alternatively if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

There have been a number of thefts from vehicles parked at the facility in recent months prompting police to warn motorists not to leave valuables in vehicles.
