THE Bridge Community Church is playing host to the man who could have filled Van Morrison's shoes.

Music fans will know that 'Van the Man' stormed onto the scene with 'Them', the rawest R&B band ever to come out of Ireland.

In the 1960s the guys became rich and famous but Bill Dunn turned his back on it all in March 1965 - just months prior to the baand hitting the charts with 'Baby Please Don't Go'.

Sick and tired of the band and lifestyle he was living, Bill walked out and his young friend Van Morrision took over as fronting vocalist.

Bill be sharing his full story at the Bridge Community Church in Bridge Street, Lurgan on Sunday night at 6.30pm.

Now a gospel singer and preacher on Sky TV channel 590, Bill will tell his story and sing a number of gospel songs he has released on CD over the years.
