Bin extension is welcomed

Brown bin collections will now take place at Carrickvale, The Grange, Annesborough Park, Annesborough Mews and Ballynamoney Road.

SDLP Upper Bann MLA Dolores Kelly says the move has come about after a concerted effort by the SDLP.

Mrs Kelly said: “I am delighted that after extensive campaigning by the SDLP, the council have now included households in their brown bins scheme.

“This will come as a relief to residents in these areas who will now be able to dispose of organic kitchen and garden waste easily and appropriately.

“The new brown bin collection will undoubtedly contribute to the ongoing improvement of waste management in Upper Bann.”
