Bin there - done that! Newly branded refuse lorries paraded

Mayor, Cllr Billy Ashe and Deputy Mayor, Cllr Timothy Gaston, got behind the wheels of the Council’s rebranded fleet of refuse vehicles at Ballymena’s Tully Quarry Transfer Station.

In what has been an historic week for the new Council, with the Mayor and Deputy Mayor being elected on Tuesday, a team of fitters have been working hard across Ballymena, Carrickfergus and Larne to rebrand 30 refuse vehicles with the recently launched corporate identity.

Residents and businesses throughout the Borough will now have the opportunity to see the distinctive new logo out on the roads throughout the area.

New Mayor, Cllr Billy Ashe, said: “On a personal note, and for the new Council, this has been a great week – and what better way to end it off than with Cllr Gaston and myself performing what I’m sure will be the first of many joint engagements together.”

And his deputy, Cllr Timothy Gaston added: “Refuse collection is one of the most important customer facing services carried out by any Council.”
