Biodiversity scheme for Castlerock’s Moors

COLERAINE Borough councillors have backed a biodiversity scheme in Castlerock.

At Tuesday’s meeting, members heard about the project which will take transform a parcel of land near the Cliff Top Holiday Park, known as The Moors.

The land has been identified by Council’s biodiversity officer as having considerable potential in terms of improving and enhancing the biodiversity of the area.

The project will result in improved biodiversity at the site.

The five year project costing in the region of £65,000 will be funded wholly through grant aid administered by the Ulster Wildlife Trust.
