Birdwatching in park

FOR those youngsters more interested in birds tweeting than Internet tweeting this summer, Lurgan Park is organising a special junior birdwatching programme on July 29.

It aims to teach all budding birdwatchers the species of bird that live in Lurgan park, what they eat and what they look like. The binoculars are supplied, so those attending only need to bring themselves.

Leanne McShane, Lurgan Park Development Manager explained: “it can rail, hail or shine but we will be out looking at the birds in Lurgan Park. We will give the young people our new leaflet on how to identify birds and then go look for them. We hope it will be very popular so booking is essential."
