Black ice warning
Cookstown police have reminded drivers to take extra care on the roads as as the cold snap continued.
A spokesman said: “Folks just a wee reminder to take extra care and drive safely when out on the roads today.
“Weather conditions are harsh with black ice and patches of freezing fog.

Hide Ad“Slow down, leave plenty of space between you and the car in front and use fog lights if and when appropriate.
“Today is World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic victims, a sad and poignant day for family and friends of those who have lost their lives on our roads. Let’s keep safe on our roads and not have any other families suffer the pain and loss of losing a loved one.”
