Black Saturday in Donegal for first time in over 10 years

Approximately 17,000 members of the Royal Black Institution will be on parade at six locations across Northern Ireland, for the Last Saturday demonstrations, on August 27.

Approximately 360 preceptories, most accompanied by bands, will take part in processions in Lisburn, Ballymena, Portadown, Loughgall, Castlederg and Raphoe in County Donegal.

The County Londonderry demonstration will be in Raphoe, County Donegal.

The procession was last held there in 2005.

The parade will begin on the Derry Road at noon and go to Sparrow Hill.

The main speaker will be Ivan Kelly, Assistant Sovereign Grand Master.

The chairman will be David Hay, County Londonderry Grand Master.
