Blaney demands Leyland answer

MOYLE Council Chief Executive Richard Lewis said he will try to find out what the situation is regarding an uncompleted road in a housing estate despite people living there for over FOUR years.

Independent councillor Seamus Blaney again raised the issue regarding the Leyland area of Ballycastle.

He said the road is a “death trap” because motorists have to drive on the wrong side of the road to avoid striking raised manholes and he fears a collision could result with traffic coming out of another road.

Cllr Paudie McShane (Sinn Fein) said there is an issue regarding a ‘bond’ and a contractor and he is keen to find out what is happening because the issue is “alarming”.
