Bleachgreen bridge decision due today

A DISTRICT Judge will today give his decision on the fate of the contested public right of way between Glenshane Road and Ardmore Road.

The decision on the road leading to the iron bridge at Bleachgreen in Ardmore was originally expected to be delivered on Tuesday, at Londonderry Courthouse but a court official confirmed this week that it would now be delivered today Thursday.

Recently, after a full day's hearing, involving residents, an anglers' representative, and an official from Ardmore Cricket Club as well as a Council official and landowner Samuel Condit, judgment on the case was deferred to allow District Judge Rodgers to visit the site and to allow lodgement of final submissions in writing.

His decision is expected to be issued at the Recorders Court this morning.
