Bleary add yet another title
Bleary and District have added another title to their impressive list - topping Grade Two at the 60th Mid-Ulster Pipe Band and Drum Major Championships held at Mid-Ulster Sports Arena, Cookstown at the weekend. There was an excellent entry of bands and drum majors from right across Ireland. The Chieftain of the Gathering was Lowry Ferguson and Lowry’s wife Roberta presented the prizes.
The event was organised by the Mid-Ulster Section of the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association Northern Ireland Branch who are celebrating their sixtieth anniversary this year; and each band member and drum major were presented with mementos to mark this historic occasion.
