The band heads off today (Thursday) to Glasgow for the World Championships.

With several successes behind them this season they go to Scotland on a high note, looking forward to taking part in the world competition for the first time in seven years.

Naturally they would love to bring back the coveted world title and will be disappointed if they do not get a place in the prizes which go to the top six bands.

When they get to Glasgow today they will practice and follow this up with another practice session on Friday.

At 9.30am on Saturday morning at Glasgow Green they take part in the qualifying competition.

Success in that will earn them a place in the finals on Saturday afternoon.

It will be a special day for one young band member.

Sixteen year old Jack Williamson travelled all the way from Kansas in America to play with the Bleary band during the summer.
