Bleary YFC celebrates

The club thanked Brownlow House for the brilliant hospitality and the much enjoyed meal. Organisers said the venue was exceptional and everyone was made feel very welcome.

The club also expressed appreciation to guest speaker YFCU President Thoburn McCaughey, Club President Mrs Helen Campbell and out-going Club Leader David Meredith.

Thanks were also passed to Doreen Moffett (Club Secretary, 1962) for attending the evening and sharing in the momentous occasion of cutting the anniversary cake with Nicola Harrison (out-going club Secretary).

Also a grateful word of thanks was passed to those past and present members who give brave speeches on the evening.

The club is also most grateful to the many businesses who kindly supported the evening either through gifts for the fundraising raffle or through financial support.

Finally, the club paid thanks to all those who had supported and contributed over the past 80 years.

A forthcoming date for your diary includes St Patrick’s Stew Night and Table Quiz on Friday, March 12, at Bleary Farmers’ Hall.
