Blind people urged to claim 50% concession

TV LICENSING launched a partnership with RNIB to ensure people who are registered blind in Lisburn are claiming their 50% concession on their TV Licence.

Over 40,000 blind concessionary licences were issued in the UK in the last 12 months, however the initiative aims to increase that number further by encouraging anyone who is registered but not claiming to apply for their licence now.

The concession entitles people who are registered blind or severely sight impaired, to purchase their licence at the reduced fee of £72.75 for colour and £24.50 for a black and white TV Licence. In addition, if you live with someone who is registered blind or severely sight impaired, their 50% licence concession will cover all the equipment in the household.
