Blood spattered on walls, man hosptialised and five arrested

A THIRTY-ONE-YEAR-OLD man was hospitalised and five people arrested after an assault in a flat in Londonderry city centre on Saturday, June 16, which left blood spattered over the doors and walls of a local apartment complex.

The assault occurred inside the Queen’s Court flat complex on Lower Clarendon Street, which overlooks the Londonderry waterfront.

Following the disturbance residents reported blood spattered over doors and walls in the apartment block corridors.

A spokesperson for the PSNI confirmed that police attended a disturbance at a flat at Lower Clarendon Street on Saturday, June 16 at around 9.20pm.

A 31-year-old male was assaulted and treated in hospital for injuries.

Three males were arrested at the scene. A 24 year-old male and two juveniles arrested were released pending further police enquiries.

A 33 year-old male and a 30-year-old female were also arrested and released pending further police enquiries.
