Blooming marvellous success for Translink Ballymoney

The results of the 2013 Translink Ulster in Bloom Competition were announced this week and Ballymoney was awarded third place in the Small Town category while Ballymoney Station took home the Best Station Award.

ategory winners in the 35th Translink Ulster in Bloom competition include: Derry City (City), Carrickfergus (Large Town), Banbridge (Town), Ahoghill (Small Town), Broughshane (Large Village), Glenarm (Village) and Scarva (Small Village).

Translink NI Railways Route Manager Frank Moore, said: “We are delighted with both awards achieved this year in the Ballymoney. 2013 continues to place Northern Ireland under the international spotlight with many high-profile events attracting thousands of visitors to cities, towns and villages. Beautiful plant and floral presentations play an important role in creating a lasting, positive and welcoming image of Ballymoney and Northern Ireland, encouraging people to make return visits with friends and family.
