Board appoints new Chief Executive
THE North Eastern Education and Library Board has appointed Mr Shane McCurdy as its new Chief Executive.
Mr McCurdy, who was the Board’s Chief Finance Officer between 1994 and 2007, has spent the last three years in Belfast on secondment to the implementation team formed to draw up plans for the introduction of the proposed Education and Skills Authority.
A business studies graduate of the University of Ulster, the new Chief Executive previously worked in various health units within the Eastern Health and Social Services Board area, at the Royal Victoria Hospital and at the University of Ulster as Deputy Director of Finance.
