Body discovered in Portrush believed to be missing Dungannon man

Police have discovered the boy of a man believed to be in his 20’s in the Portrush area yesterday evening (Wednesday).

Although the body is yet to be formally identified, police believe it may be missing man Adam MacKay known to friends as Marc MacKay from Dungannon.

Police are not treating the death as suspicious.

Police issued a photograph of Mr Mackay, (24) after family became increasingly worried about him.

He was last seen in the Harbour area of Portrush at around 1am on 3rd August.

Tributes have been paid to the Dungannon man on Facebook, with many of Marc’s friend’s describing him as “an amazing person and friend.”
