Bogus caller alert

POLICE are appealing for information after a report of an alleged bogus caller at the Station Road area of Portstewart.

At around 9pm on Monday, April 30, it was reported that a man purporting to be collecting for the Royal British Legion and was accompanied with a fawn coloured dog. No money was handed over, but the member of the public was concerned that this behaviour.

Police would advise the general public that if somebody calls at your door unexpectedly, ask to see identification.
