Bogus police rob Lisburn pensioner

POLICE in Lisburn are appealing for information after a burglary at the home of a woman in her 80s.

At around 9.45pm on Wednesday night three males forced their way, via a side window, into the house in the Dalboyne Gardens area, off Belsize Road. They claimed they were police from London and were looking for drugs. They shut the woman in her bedroom while they searched the house. They made off with a sum of cash and some house keys. The woman was unhurt but was left shocked by the experience.

The intruders were described as in their 20s or early 30s, tall, thin and wearing dark clothes. They spoke with Northern Ireland accents.
