Book of Condolence for ex mayor

Mayor of Coleraine, Councillor George Duddy, said: “James McClure was very well known and respected throughout the Borough.

“He served the people of Coleraine tirelessly for thirty seven years as a Councillor, Mayor and Deputy Mayor while serving on numerous committees.

“By opening this Book of Condolence we are giving the people of Coleraine and beyond the opportunity to extend deepest sympathies to James’ family and show how much he was thought of by us all.

“If anyone would also like to send letters of condolence to James’ family, I would be more than happy to receive these at Coleraine Borough Council’s, Civic Headquarters in Cloonvain and I’ll ensure his family receive them - he will be sadly missed.

The book can also be signed at the Town Hall until Friday.
