This two hour workshop teaches how to build your Personal Resilience.

Small amounts of stress can help us to rise to meet a challenge but too much stress can have a negative impact on our physical and emotional health. Come along and learn techniques which can help you develop your ability to handle stress and stand up to the pressures of life.

This workshop is one of many planned as part of Health in Mind, a partnership project which offers a wide range of positive mental health and wellbeing resources and services in libraries and other community venues. Libraries NI is the lead partner, working along with Action Mental Health, Aware Defeat Depression, CAUSE and MindWise.

Darren Gowdy, Project Manager for Health in Mind, says “This is a great opportunity for people in the Cushendall area to find out more about how to cope with stress. The Personal Resilience workshop is packed full of simple and practical ideas to help people make immediate positive changes to improve their health and wellbeing.”

The Health in Mind Partnership is funded under the Big Lottery Fund’s Live and Learn programme to work together to reduce the stigma attached to mental illness, by improving the understanding of mental health in the wider community and by providing opportunities to join in activities based on the themes of Information, Learning and Reading.

Booking is essential. For further information contact Cushendall Library, Mill Street, Cushendall, BT44 0RR, on t: 028 2177 1297 or e: [email protected]
