Bootcampers lose weight for charity

THE fantastic sum of £1,400 was raised for the NSPCC as big hearted Bootcampers in Lisburn recently took on the Bootcampers in Lurgan to see who could get the fittest, lose the most weight and raise the most cash for the NSPCC Northern Ireland.

Irene McCaffrey’s 26 Day Get Lean Challenge took place in November and saw Bootcamp enthusiasts from Lisburn and Lurgan stretch their fitness to the limits in pursuit of a terrific prize, and even better outcomes for vulnerable local children.

The biggest loser was Mark Coleman who managed to lose 19lbs and the biggest losers for the women were Louise McManus and Jane Wray who lost one stone each. In total a staggering 263lbs was shed by the two teams.

Talking about her weight loss Jane said: “I am absolutely delighted with the results. I thoroughly enjoyed the bootcamp and it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be.”

She added; “Irene really gets into your psyche and you want to lose weight for yourself and help motivate all the other members too. You get great support and all the meals are delicious and very healthy. I definitely would encourage others who want to shape up and get fit to contact Irene.”

Irene from Impact Fitness Bootcamp said, “Supporting this local children’s charity was an easy choice. When I suggested this event to my Bootcampers, they decided that they’d really like the money we raise to go towards the NSPCC.”

The 26 Day Get Lean Challenge consisted of 12 intense workouts using the HIIT training method, clean eating following the Paleo principles and personal accountability with personal trainer Irene McCaffrey all guaranteed to get you into the best shape yet.
