The council established the forum earlier this year to champion the borough’s thriving agri-food sector, passionate producers and quality creators.

Marion took the opportunity to describe how she too had turned her passion for baking into a new enterprise, having recently set up her own business, Flemings Farmhouse Bakery, specialising in gluten free produce.

Six winners, who entered a separate competition in the magazine to win a £50 meal voucher in a local restaurant of their choice, were also named.

Among the winners were Aimee Neill (Armagh), Karen McCabe (Armagh), Ann Lennon (Lurgan), Carol Boyce (Lurgan), Jennifer Patterson (Banbridge) and Kathleen Camlin (Banbridge).

The meal vouchers were sponsored by Fox Building and Civil Engineering Limited - the company responsible for overseeing the redevelopment of Portadown People’s Park.
