Boy dies in farm accident
A 10-year-old boy has died following an accident at a farm close to Katesbridge.
The ambulance service was called to the Rathfriland Road area shortly before 2.30pm today (Tuesday).
It is understood the boy had fallen off a farm vehicle. He was airlifted to Craigavon Area Hospital but sadly could not be saved.
The Health and Safety Executive has been informed and is now taking the lead in the investigation.
The child’s name has not been released.
