Brave folk battle elements for Duck Dive 2017
Indeed, some of the newer committee members would have called the event off because they thought no-one would show but it was the older stalwarts who persuaded them that this wouldn’t be the case and how right they were!
First in the water was St Patrick himself along with his snake.

Hide AdAlthough a final total is still being counted, a large sum of money was raised by sponsorship, a raffle and an auction at the afterparty in Shenanigans.
The committee is particuarly grateful to the business community of Portstewart for the tremendous support they gave the event by donating prizes for the raffle and to Shenanigans for their overall sponsorship. They also thanked Dynamic Audio Visual who provided a sound system free of charge.
The Winners were:-
Best Female Group - Santa and Co; Best Make Group - 1st Portstewart Scout Company; Most original - St Patrick and his snake.; Furthest travelled - Emma, Kelly and Steph (dressed as ducks) from Coventry; Best male duo - Gary and Andrew from UUC RFC; Best female duo - Coleraine Hockey Club; Bravest overall - Manus from Armagh City; Most enthusiastic - Kieran and Kate McLaughlin; Late but great - Caitlin Henry.
