Bready pipe band clinches 1st place in Antrim

BREADY Ulster Scots Pipe Band travelled to the Ballymena Showgrounds on Saturday to take part in the County Antrim Pipe Band Championships in Grade 4A.

Under the Direction of Pipe Major Alan Campbell and Drum Sergeant Martin Campbell the Bready Outfit competed in the biggest Grade of the day against 11 other bands and came away with a joint first in piping with former Grade 2 band Upper Crossgare and finished 3rd Overall behind Thiepval Memorial and Upper Crossgare.

The Bready Band are building on their performance each week and this week are travelling to Cookstown to take part in the Mid Ulster Championships.

After the results were given out on Saturday, Lynn Hamilton a member of the band stated that she was: “Buzzing and delighted to get a first in piping.”
