BREAKING NEWS: Arson attack on Moycraig Road

Detectives in Coleraine are appealing for information after a report of arson at residential premises at the Moycraig Road area in the early hours of this morning (Friday 26th September).

Detective Chief Inspector Catherine Magee said: “Shortly before 00:45am, it was reported that damage was caused to a house in the area.

“The details of the deliberate ignition have not been determined. One man, who was inside the property at the time of the incident was not injured but left badly shaken.

Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and the fire was extinguished.

“Enquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone with any information to contact police at Coleraine Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.

“Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
