Breaking news: Stolen prescription drugs recovered

The discovery was made following a series of searches earlier today (Wednesday).

Detective Chief Inspector Stephen Wright said: “Three locations were searched by officers earlier today and approximately 40,000 high strength pain killers were recovered from one of the properties. Two men have been arrested by detectives and are currently in custody assisting with enquiries.

“We have previously moved to warn the public about the dangers of taking these types of drugs when they have not been prescribed to you and we are relieved this evening to have removed such a significant quantity from circulation.”
