Brothers take on 10K run for charity

TWO local brothers will be taking part in the Lisburn 10k dressed up in novelty outfits to raise money for Lisburn 2gether Special Olympics Club.

Harry Ferguson, 18 and his brother Sam, 15 have raised £70 and are hoping to raise a lot more before the run on Wednesday June 20.

Harry said: “We have both been training hard for the 10k event by training two nights a week whatever the weather is like. We believe that the training is tough but it is worth all the effort in the end.

“Our target is to raise over £100. We hope that we can get more people to sponsor us as it is going to a great cause. We would also like to thank people who have sponsored us so far and appreciate their donations going towards a good cause.”
