Chief Inspector Stephen McCauley said: “It was reported that sometime between 7.00 am and 3.00 pm, on Tuesday February 21, the property was broken into and ransacked before jewellery was stolen.

“We are linking the incident to two other burglaries this week in the Ballygarvey Road area of Ballymena.

“We are appealing to anyone that may have any information or to anyone that may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area, at the time, to contact detectives at Ballymena Reactive and Organised Crime Branch on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 743 of the 21/02/17.

“Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
