Claire Adams, Katie Witherspoon, Charlotte Willoughby and Rose Redmond received the award from North Antrim Guiding President Pam Trail at the Annual General Meeting held in Kilbride.

The girls completed a range of exciting activities to achieve the award, including attending an International selection weekend, promoting education for all girls worldwide, organising mini & para-Olympics and gaining the Personal Safety Badge.

Fourteen-year-old Charlotte Willoughby said: “I am extremely proud to have completed my Baden-Powell Award because it has taken more than a year of hard work to get it.

“I particularly enjoyed the Adventure Weekend after I had completed all the award clauses.

“I’m sure that the skills I have learnt and the experiences I have had will stay with me for life and I’m sure I’ll use them in the future because I want to train to become a teacher.”

The unit’s leader, Geraldine Linford said: “I’m very proud of the girls for completing their Baden-Powell Award.
