Brownlow College students engagein Enterprise in Action programme

STUDENTS at Brownlow recently took part in the Young Enterprise Northern Ireland 'Enterprise in Action' programme.

Funded by the Department of Education Northern Ireland, the programme is designed to inspire innovation and entrepreneurial attitudes.

Through Enterprise in Action students actively engage in an enterprise challenge, by making a prototype product, as they develop their understanding of key business and economic concepts through practical activities and the use of ICT.

The programme was facilitated by Mary Daly of Moy Park, as many Young Enterprise programmes actively involve business volunteers in their delivery, allowing students to directly avail of local industry expertise.

Cathy Morrison, Senior Development Manager at Young Enterprise Northern Ireland, commented: “Enterprise in Action is a great way for students to gain a practical, hands-on insight into the world of business.

“We hope that this will inspire some of the young people here today to start their own business in the future, or at least to become enterprising employees.

“No matter what career they choose, the knowledge that they gain through this programme will set them apart from their peers.”
