Bryson hits the streets with recycling advice

A TEAM of advisors from Bryson Recycling will start calling at homes in Ballymena next week to provide information about a new recycling service being introduced in the area by Ballymena Borough Council.

An improved recycling service is being launched in the Borough, which involves each household getting a black recycling box to use in conjunction with their existing red recycling box. Using this new service residents can recycle more materials from home on a weekly basis, including paper, cartons and a wider range of plastic packaging

The advisors will be calling at households in the Borough from now until the of June. They will all be wearing Bryson Recycling high visibility vests and will be carrying photographic ID.

Claire McCallum, Communications Manager at Bryson Recycling, said: “We have found that talking to householders on their doorstep is an excellent method of communication. It provides us with an opportunity to supply information about how this new service will work as well as answer any queries residents may have. All households will be provided with an information pack containing full details about the new service”.

Bryson will start delivering black boxes in Ballymena week commencing June 4. As part of this new service blue bins are being removed, and their collection will start week commencing 11th June. All householders are asked to leave their blue bins out on each of their scheduled collection days to ensure they can be emptied and removed.
