Bucky ice hits the spot

THOSE of you with a sweeter tooth than most may be pleased to learn of a new ice cream that's hit the market.

Buckfast ripple ice cream is on the menu at an upmarket Edinburgh restaurant.

The ice cream version of the sickly-sweet tonic, known in these parts as Lurgan Champagne, is proving to be a popular choice with customers of ESI in Leith.

'The Englishman, Scotsman and an Irishman' restaurant has also dabbled in Buckfast and rhubarb crumble.

But remember folks, don't try this at home - the 'MAIL' won't be responsible for anyone who's violently ill this weekend after infusing their Cafolla's ice cream with a splash of 'Bucky'.
