A man who made a racist comment to a 77-year-old woman was warned at Londonderry Magistrates' Court that he may be sent to prison.

Jordan Hazlett (21), whose address was given as c/o Hydebank, pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour on June 19, last year.

The court heard he was witnessed by police shouting at her and calling her a ‘Paki b-----d’.

Ordering a probation report, District Judge Barney McElholm, noted the woman was not from Pakistan and adjourned the case until April 8.
