Burglars on the prowl

A FRESH wave of burglaries in the borough in the past week is under investigation.

On Saturday poIice received a report that a house on Station Road, Greenisland had been burgled. Police also received reports of two burglaries on the Shore Road on Friday and one the previous day at Upper Road.

Also on Thursday, newspapers and magazines were stolen from a storage container outside a newsagents on Station Rd.

Both on Wednesday 20 and Friday 22 October a business park on the Woodburn Road was broken into during the night.

A window in a house on the North Road was smashed during the night, on 20 October too. Meanwhile, at 5pm on Tuesday 19 October a resident of Cairnhill Place discovered a break-in.

Police also received a report of the theft of a maroon gent’s mountain bike from St Brides Street, stolen at approximately 7pm on 17 October.
