Burglars smash their way into pensioner’s home

Sometime between 7pm and 9pm on Monday, January 20, a number of unknown persons kicked in the door of the 90-year-old woman’s Rathmore Drive home before entering a bedroom and rummaging through a number of bags.

The woman, who was in the house at the time, wasn’t physically injured.

Police say it’s unclear whether or not anything was stolen, but they have appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact investigating officers at Newtownabbey Station on 0845 600 8000.
