Burglary attempt at elderly woman’s home
Detectives at Strand Road are appealing for information about an attempted burglary at the home of an elderly woman in the Rock Road area yesterday, Tuesday, April 7.
Appealing for information, Detective Constable Joan Rawson said: “Just before 11am, a man forced his way into the house but left without taking anything. It is believed he was wearing a dark top. A woman in her 90’s who was in the house at the time was unhurt but left shaken by the incident.
“We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area and noticed anyone acting suspiciously to contact detectives at Strand Road on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
