Bushmills Distillery staff 'Roll out the Barrel'

This year’s chosen charity is the Robinson Hospital Palliative Care Unit and a number of events have already taken place throughout the year to raise money for this very worthy cause.

The Robinson Hospital Palliative Care Unit is important to many of the Distillery employees as many have had friends and relatives who have been cared for by the team at the Robinson.

Gordon Donoghue, Global Supply Director at the Distillery, said: “Our barrel rolling has proved to be a great success in the last two years and we would hope to build on that this year.

“The Robinson Hospital Palliative Care Fund is a very worthy cause and one that is close to our hearts in the Old Bushmills Distillery.

“We appreciate that times are hard but we hope that people will come along and show their support along the route. The barrel rollers will be leaving the Distillery at 10.30a.m. to make their way to Portballintrae and once again this year will be led by a piper”.
