Bushmills man publishes historical novel

A Bushmills author has just published a book which is the result of two years of historical research combining both fact and myth to produce a new and convincing version of early Irish history.

William Methven’s work ‘The Hare’s Vision: a new Irish myth’ has already been critically acclaimed - both at home and abroad - and is on sale worldwide at most online retailers in paperback and ebook format.

An historical novel, it begins with the discovery in 2015 on the north Antrim coast of sacred scrolls dating from the time of Jesus.

The reader is transported back to sixth century when these scrolls arrive in Ireland from the Middle East. They are sent to Colum Cille (St Columba) in Ireland for safekeeping because their contents pose an enormous threat to the early Christian church in Europe. The story comes to a dramatic climax at Druim Ceit near Limavady in 575AD and also in Derry/Londonderry in 2015.

The book is available in paperback or for e-book readers from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, ibooks and Kobo.
