Bushmills Peace Group AGM

The AGM of the Bushmills Peace Group took place on Tuesday 17th May in the Parish Centre.

Opening worship was conducted by the rector, Canon George Graham, and arrangements were announced for an outing on Saturday 4th June to Downpatrick and Saul. The chairperson, Carol Anderson, conveyed thanks to Moyle District Council for a generous grant towards the costs.

The Chairperson expressed the appreciation of the Group to Annette McKendry, who was retiring from the position of Secretary, which she had held for the past seven years, and also to Helen Dunlop who was leaving the committee

The election of office-bearers and committee resulted as follows:

Chairperson: Carol Anderson; Vice-Chairperson: Rose Minihan; Hon. Secretary: Beatrice Higgins; Hon. Treasurer: Eamon Brolly; Public Relations Officer: Sandra McElnea, and committee members: Daphne Bustard, Mary Taylor, Phyllis Brown and Eilish Norrie.

After a break for tea, the meeting divided into discussion groups to consider suggestions for next year’s programme.
