Business Breakfast event comes to Cookstown

COOKSTOWN will play host to a free Business at Breakfast Event at the Royal Hotel on Wednesday 15 May.

The event is open to all businesses in the Cookstown and surrounding areas and will take place from 7.30am to 8.45am.

Staff from the Department for Employment and Learning (DEL) will provide an overview of their services to assist local businesses in the current economic climate.

Highlighting the benefits available, Heather McKeown, DEL Employer Contact Manager for Cookstown, said: “Employers will be able to learn first hand about the range of services available from the Department, including Steps to Work, the Youth Employment Scheme, ApprenticeshipsNI, Bridge to Employment and the recently announced 100% funding for our suite of Management and Leadership programmes. They can also find out about the assistance available, including employer subsidies, help on addressing skills gaps, enhancing management techniques or recruiting new staff through our jobcentreonline.com website. I would encourage all local businesses to register for this worthwhile Business at Breakfast Event.”

Other organisations will also be present to provide advice and guidance to all employers in attendance. Cookstown Enterprise Centre will provide an overview of support to local businesses, and David Lyttle & Co, Chartered Accountants, will outline recent changes in relation to tax aimed at promoting business.

The guest employer at the event will be a representative from TES NI Ltd, a Cookstown based manufacturing company who have availed of the Department’s services to assist in recruitment and training of their workforce.

During the event, a light breakfast will be provided and businesses will have the opportunity to network.

The event was organised in partnership with Cookstown Chamber of Commerce, David Lyttle & Co, Chartered Accountants, and Cookstown Enterprise Centre.

Employers are invited to register as soon as possible as places are limited. For further information and to register for the Cookstown event, please email [email protected] or [email protected] or 3025 3057 or alternatively phone 028 3025 3057.
