Businesses get help with trade development

COLERAINE, Limavady and Moyle councils have combined to offer businesses the opportunity to take part in the Trade Development Programme.

The programme, which is heavily subsidised by the councils, and is running from May to December this year, is designed to provide an excellent cost effective platform for small and medium sized businesses across the three council areas that have a desire to develop improved trade links outside Northern Ireland.

Whether through developing export sales, developing sub-contract manufacturing partners outside Northern Ireland or sourcing new product opportunities in markets outside Northern Ireland the programme is helping businesses to identify and explore these opportunities.

Participants are benefiting from a combination of business support including a suite of business development workshops, one-to-one mentoring tailored to their individual businesses and the preparation of a Business Growth Plan which will outline a planned approach for growth.

The programme is being delivered by Full Circle Management Solutions Ltd.

Martin Clark, Economic Development Officer at Coleraine Borough Council, said: “The Trade Programme forms part of our efforts to support SMEs in the Coleraine area.

“The programme is both practical and real, providing vital support and advice but also giving local companies the opportunity to meet new customers that will hopefully generate new sales.
