Busy month for Annaclone and Magherally Young Farmer’s Club

Annaclone and Magherally Young Framers’ Club had a very busy and successful month in July.

At the beginning of the month the club attended the annual county Rally Day. The theme for the sketch was Australia, Annaclone and Magherally bases there sketch on Steve Irwin and crocodile Dundee.

They were very successful and were placed first against nine other clubs.

The club also enjoyed successin the junior and senior football competitons. The junior team includedBen Thompson, Toby Baxter, Lewis Williamson, Rihannan Cromie and Erin Ferguson.

In the final,they played against Killinchy and, with a Fabulous goal from Ben Thompson, triumphed and won 2-1.

The senior team included Jonny Sleator, John Porter, Stuart Cromie, Jane Cowan and Rachel McMurray and they scored two goals against Spa YFC.

The club had a great day and took part in all the activities and it was great to see the club take home Th overall Rally Day Shield, best slideshow and both junior and senior Football awards.

The Club also had a very successful Treasure Hunt and BBQ recently with 23 cars taking part and a great night was had by all who attended and congratulations to Marie Woods and team who finished in first place.
