Busy times on theMillburn estate

Millburn Community Association has completed an Alcohol Facilitators Training the Trainer Community Champions Course for the Healthy Body Healthy Mind Programme funded by Action Mental Health.

Billy Ellis, the Community Outreach Worker for Millburn, wishes to thank Rebecca Roberts of FASA for her fantastic facilitation of the12-week course and also Action Mental Health for choosing Millburn as the delivery venue for this programme.

Billy said: “This will also have a massive impact locally as the course participants will be delivering some of the information programmes on Alcohol Awareness locally in Millburn and Ballysally areas as part of the accreditation of the course.”

Meanwhile, the Millburn Community Association Luncheon Club enjoyed a bus trip and sightseeing tour of the Causeway Coast before enjoying a carvery lunch at the Royal Court Hotel overlooking the White Rocks Beach in Portrush.

“The Millburn Luncheon Club was formed last year and has developed a great membership from the older residents of the Millburn estate. It’s been a great success,” added Billy.
