Portbradden is a hamlet nestled in a sheltered rock face on the Causeway Coast. It is instantly recognisable as one of the main images of the Causeway coastline as the hamlet overlooks the breath-taking Whitepark Bay, Rathlin Island and over the Irish sea towards Scotland.

The Braddan is a property at 22 Portbradden Road that has been in private ownership for over 50 years. It has featured in many television programmes and magazine articles due to the unique nature of the house, boathouse and slipway.

St. Gobbin’s Church is also located within the grounds, it was constructed in the 1950’s, originally as a cow byre, and has been converted into a church that has seen many weddings and thousands of visitors over the years.

Legend has it that it is the smallest church in Ireland and is in itself a tourist attraction that is positioned between the Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede Rope bridge. Although privately owned the vendor opens the church to the public and has a collection box for visitors to donate whatever they feel is appropriate, and has donated the proceeds to various charities - raising tens of thousands of pounds since he bought The Bradden.

The property is approached by a pebbled terrace overlooking Whitepark Bay with boathouse & slipway underneath opposite the driveway and front gardens to the main house. There is an entrance hall with a couple of steps to 2 cabin style bedrooms and a drawing room with amazing views, a further bedroom and loo.

The rear of the house was originally a mill and has been joined via the reception hallway with stone fireplace, access to a rear yard and shower room. There is a door to the large split level and open planned kitchen with steps up to a living room with vaulted ceiling.

Beside the front door there is access to a timber garage and opposite the front door there is St Gobbin’s Church.
