Buzzy meeting for Ravarnette ladies
RAVARNETTE: The May meeting of the WI opened with a minute’s silence for member Evelyn Walker who died recently and will be sadly missed by all her friends in the Institute.
The speaker was Mr T J Canning, a Beekeeper from Armagh. He talked and with his slides explained the working of the bees and told how honey is good for so many ailments. He answered lots of questions and had a lovely display of honey, candles and soap.
President Brenda Gillespie gave a vote of thanks.
The competition for a ‘Garden Photograph’ was won by: Margaret Neill, 2nd Margery Howarth and 3rd Beth Dunlop. The birthday girl was May McConnell and Helen Marks won the ballot.
