Cable work continues at DunhillRoad

NORTHERN Ireland Electricity has announced that work on an underground cable project along the Dunhill Road near Coleraine started on Monday this week.

The project involves installing 9km high voltage underground electricity cable along the Dunhill Road to Gaelectric’s Dunbeg Wind Farm site on the Broad Road outside Coleraine.

The work, which will be carried out by NIE and contractors KPL, will take approximately seven months and traffic control will be in operation at all times.

Two clear lanes will be maintained at peak travel times.

Motorists are advised to exercise care when approaching the area as the work continues.
